Description
Derived from the MD 454 Mystère IV A, the Super Mystère B2, the first purely French supersonic aircraft, entered service in the Air Force in 1958. It equipped three Air Défense squadrons, the 10th squadron based on the BA 110 Creil from 1958 to 1974, the 12 e Escadre officiating on BA 103 in Cambrai from 1959 to 1977 and the 5 e Escadre stationed on BA 115 in Orange from 1961 to 1965. Replaced by the Mirage IIIC and F1C, its mission was used to train young pilots. .
