For decades, tactical missiles have become essential in the defence of all countries in the world. However, the bibliography on their subject remains rare and scattered. This work therefore attempts to fill this void, by telling the story of the European tactical missiles which feature in the heritage of the MBDA company. Created in 2001, this company has become the “number one” in missiles in Europe. MBDA’s heritage thus covers, since 1946, approximately 90% of the missile programs carried out in Europe by companies with names that remain famous: Aerospatiale, Arsenal de l’aéronautique, Armstrong Whitworth, BAC, Bölkow, Bristol, British Aerospace, Contraves Italiana, De Havilland, English Electric, Euromissile, Eurosam, Fairey, Hawker Siddeley, LFK, MATRA, MBB, Nord Aviation, OTO Melara, Selenia, Sistel, SNCASE, SNIAS, Sud Aviation, Vickers… The most recent programs led by MBDA are also described
