Description

For everyone, the manufacturer Dassault is associated with the Mystère and Mirage. However, it was with a twin piston engine that Marcel Bloch, now Dassault, returned to the forefront of the aeronautical scene at the end of the 1940s. Nearly 70 years ago, its first aircraft, the MD.303, took off from Mérignac. Its descendants, produced in three versions, MD.315 for colonial police, MD.311 for bombing and navigation training and MD.312 for liaison and flying school, were the first French post-war aircraft produced in numbers. If the plane was baptized Flamant by the administration, its users simply called it the Dassault. It ensured the presence of French wings in the colonies until the dislocation of the French Union. Its school versions trained generations of transport crews for nearly 34 years and was the liaison aircraft for all Air Force units. This book invites you to discover the history of Dassault and its direct derivatives Spirale, Communauté and Hirondelle.
With 320 pages, more than 550 photos, more than 80 plans and diagrams, embellished with 49 colour profiles by Pierre-André Tilley. French text and captions.
