Description

It is of course not big news that aircraft companies right after the Great War (1914-1918) were involved in the foundation of airline companies. Junkers Flugzeugwerk AG was no exception and formed numerous airline companies all over the world. It understood that in order to sell its popular product, the all-metal Junkers F 13, it needed to start companies. The main part of the book “Junkers for scandinavia” deals with Danish airline “Dansk Lufttransport” founded in Denmark as a competitor to Det Danske Luftfartselskab AS (DDL).

But in addition, Rob Mulder, give the reader a look into the work Junkers did in Finland, Sweden, Iceland and Norway. It also gives an overview over the development of aviation in Scandinavia in the period prior to 1926 and focused on the work done by the German aircraft factory Junkers Flugzeugwerk AG.
