This book examines the history and continuing use of modern-day British airfields by the US Air Force. It also chronicles the many others that survived the Second World War, but not the passage of time. The book begins with a brief overview of the USAF’s involvement with various British airfields, before showing the current state of many of the runways and buildings today.
