Description
Published for the very first time, a multi-part collective work on the fate of the Czechoslovak Republic. airmen in the ranks of the British Royal Air Force during peacetime, takes the reader through the stage from the liberation of the Czechoslovakia to the consequences of the communist coup of February 1948. In response to purges in the army, arrests and absurd accusations, the airmen once again go beyond the borders to the free world. Thanks to the understanding of the British side, a number of them manage to go under the protection of the Royal Air Force again, and most of them then enter the second stage of service in flight and ground assignments. With MS. we meet exiled airmen from the end of the 1940s to the beginning of the 1970s in a wide range of activities and actively participating in important or lesser-known operations and events during the Cold War. Czech language text and captions.
