Description

This book charts the history of the F-4 Phantom fighter aircraft that were in use by the RAF between 1979 and 1992. It covers the usage of the Phantom in the air defence role at RAF Conningsby, Leuchars, Wattisham and RAF Wildebrath (Royal Air Force Germany), and concludes with the disbandment of the Phantom in 1992 and a full aircraft history of each FGR2 and F–4J.

The book is illustrated throughout with black and white and colour photographs, and includes unit insignias, coloured profiles and patches.
