Many of us will have fond memories of jetting off on a Dan-Air Comet for that family holiday to Spain, but did you ever fly on a BOAC 747-100? From industry game-changers like Freddy Laker’s ‘Skytrain’, to one of my personal old-school favourites, Court Line, I have compiled a book listing most of the UK defunct airlines that were active during the period 1960-1975. There have been many, many airlines both large and small that graced our skies during this period. Some of the pictures within the book will seem truly vintage while others may seem like yesterday. British aviation has definitely been eventful to get us to the point we’re at today.
