Description
This is the 2nd volume of the Monarch series, and is dedicated to the Dornier 335 Arrow. The Do 335 was one of the most unusual single-seat fighters of German Luftwaffe. Powered by two of the most powerful 12-cylinder engines, one in the nose and the other buried in the rear fuselage, it was probably the fastest propeller-driven warplane of the Second World War. The Do 335 Arrow appeared too late to see operational service with the Luftwaffe, but it was a significant bridge between prop and jet-powered aircraft. The advanced Do 435, He 535 and Ju 635 projects are also covered in this volume. The book contains 250 photographs, 53 colour photographs, 22 colour illustrations and 50 drawings.
