The appearance of the Mi-24 special combat helicopter in the Air Force of the Soviet Army led to a revision of the role of the helicopter on the battlefield. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, these machines took part in almost all wars on the ruins of the empire. Ukraine was no exception.
