Description
This is a comprehensive operational and historical reference on the B-26 Marauder, an aircraft that rarely receives mention or publicity. The author is a retired USAF flag officer who flew this aircraft during World War II, and this presumably gave him broad access to records and photographs. The result is a detailed operational history of this aircraft in the service of the 323rd Bombardment Group (M) from 1942 to 1945. Each chapter has a detailed mission log for the period of time covered, as well as a broad listing of crew names to go along with mission descriptions. A huge number of pictures also makes this book a joy to immerse oneself in, as these planes advance across Europe.
