Description
English/Italian text. The object of desire of many Italian jet fighter pilots, the F-16, in its ADF version, has become a reality for a small number of them. It enabled the Italian Air Force to make the transition from the F-104 to the “Eurofighter” and helped to ensure the defence of the airspace. It was deployed for a relatively short period, about nine years, and in a limited number of examples, a total of 34 single and twin-seaters, which came to Italy via the “Peace Caesar” programme, and equipped two squadrons: the 5th with the 23rd Group in Cervia and the 37th with the 10th and 18th Group.
There is some modelling information in the appendix: Kits, accessories, colours and an overview of the models created in collaboration with IPMS Italy.
