Description

This is the autobiography of Air Commodore H F V Battle, OBE DFC. His flying career began in WWI in the RFC as a fighter pilot. His subsequent career included operations against a tribal uprising in Iraq, the opening of the desert air route between Jordan and Iraq, a test pilot at the RAE at Martlesham Heath and a Station Commander during WWII.
