The first issue of the magazine “Le Moniteur de l’Aéronautique” arrived on newsstands in October 1977. In November 1981, the last issue put an end to 49 publications rich in current affairs and aviation history content. Over the course of its publications, the magazine has taken an interest several times in the pages of history that the French Air Force has written in Indochina. It has published no less than eleven in-depth articles on the subject.
Each is the result of in-depth research, accompanied by substantial iconography. Each casts, in its own way, a different light on this theatre of operations.
This compilation does not claim to treat the subject exhaustively. It simply has the value of an instant snapshot which fixes a certain vision. The one we saw things about more than forty years ago.
