Volume I describes for the first time the early days of the Canadian Naval Air Branch, as told by those who were there.

Volume II picks up the story in 1955, when the new aircraft carrier Bonaventure was soon to replace Magnificent, and concludes in 1969 when Bonaventure was removed from service, ending 23 years of RCN carrier aviation which, over the years, had developed into an internationally recognized first class operational force
