This book describes the colours and markings of the Air Force’s aircraft that were delivered in the period after World War II until the start of the American arms aid in 1949. These aircraft operated until 1959. The book contains over 150 profile and floor plans that, together with over 220 photos and illustrations, show how the planes were painted and marked. The book is thus a suitable reference work for painting museum aircraft, warbirds and model aircraft for this period in the Air Force’s history.
