In 1962 when this volume was first published few books were as comprehensively illustrated. There are photos and/ or fine technical drawings on nearly all of its 559 pages and many of those photos of obscure early aircraft must have taken some finding. These is a section on early British airships at the end of the book. The text is short but concise and very ‘readable’.
