This work, as its title indicates, relates aerial adventures experienced in the four corners of the world. More precisely ? First of all, stories of men – in those days, women were still rarely present in the aeronautics sector – and if some of them acquired world fame, such as General Doolittle with his B-25s, or Count von Rosen in Biafra, others were content to be part of “aviation history”.
Like the classic fighter pilot, whether aboard a Thunderstreak in Suez in 1956, a Skyraider in Laos in 1969 or a Jaguar in Chad in 1984. Or even transport pilots aboard heavy four-engine aircraft in the Air Corridors of Berlin in 1948 or on the way to Uli, the airport route in the Biafran enclave. Also experience the stress of the crew of the RAF Vulcan, after the first bombing raid on the Falklands in 1982. In addition to the aviators, this book talks about machines that have all become aviation icons: Crusader in Cuba, Pilatus Wear in Laos, Mustang and Corsair during the Football War, or even Invader in the African wars. All placed in the historical context of events and countries as varied as Chad, Honduras, Egypt and Germany during the Cold War.
